Frequently Asked Questions
What are wooden flowers?
Wooden flowers, commonly known as sola wood flowers, come from Shola Trees that are native to the tropical montane forests of South Asia. The pithy interior is shaved into thin rolls that can be formed into flowers of different shapes and sizes.
How do I care for my flowers?
To clean your flowers simply use a can of air or a light feather duster. For best results keep them out of direct sunlight; this will help to prevent color fading. When storing flowers for a long period of time, avoid air tight containers and excessive moisture.
What do I do if some flowers break?
Accidents happen! If you have some flowers that break in your arrangement please feel free to contact me. I will help you either fix the flowers or get you a replacement flower to keep your arrangement looking beautiful for years to come. (Shipping costs may apply)
What is the processing time for custom arrangements?
Custom arrangements typically take about 3-4 weeks. Order processing is usually faster if I have all the necessary supplies for your order on hand, but if I need additional materials it may take longer depending on supply availabilities and shipping speeds. I promise your creation will be worth the wait! Feel free to contact me if you need something right away.
How customized can I make something and can I use my own container?
The sky is the limit! The two best things about wooden flowers is that they never die and they can be completely customized to what YOU want. Want a rainbow flower? Sure! I’ll make it happen. Have a cool container at home or find the perfect vase in a store? Contact me and we can talk about the best way to get you a beautiful arrangement. I love being challenged with new ideas and I love when clients bring me fun projects!
What do I do if my flowers arrive damaged?
I take extreme care in packing your arrangement for shipping but if your order arrives damaged please contact me within 48 hours of arrival with photos of the damage. I will file a claim with USPS and work on getting another arrangement to you. Please note that sola wood flowers are natural and sometimes have minor imperfections. These may include small holes, chips, bends, and pieces of bark showing through. These minor imperfections add to the rustic feel and beauty of these unique flowers.
